Barrels returned to Cloudbreak for the Round 2 clashes of the Fiji Pro 2015. Kelly Slater, Adriano de Souza and Filipe Toledo survived their battles.
Local talent Inia Nakalevu wanted to impress, and took an early lead over De Souza. But the Brazilian waited, and patience paid off. With a 6.83 and a 6.67, the ratings won the heat.
“After five minutes I realized that the wind was stronger, and the conditions were changing, so I came more to the inside. I’m happy to advance, and I knew Inia had his chance to beat me. This is an amazing chance for me to show off my surfing out there, and I think the waves are going to get bigger,” said Adriano.
