Cold Hawaii: a Danish surf spot with plenty of quality waves

The 2017 ISA World StandUp Paddle (SUP) and Paddleboard Championship will be held in Copenhagen and Klitmøller, Denmark.

The increasingly popular competition is set to September 2017. The SUP and Paddleboard Racing events will take place in the country’s capital, and the SUP Surfing heats will run in “Cold Hawaii,” a spot located in Denmark’s northwest coastline.

Denmark joined the International Surfing Association (ISA) in 2013. The Northern European country has a long tradition running windsurfing, kiteboarding, and surfing events. Contrary to popular belief, Denmark has splendid weather and geographic conditions for water and wave sports.
