France has claimed the gold medal at the 2016 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, in Azores, Portugal.

French surfers have reasons to rejoice – they’ve just won their first ever team gold medal in the World Junior Surfing Championship run by the International Surfing Association (ISA).

With splendid offshore conditions at Praia do Monte Verde, Thomas Debierre won the Boys Under 16 division, and “Les Bleus” resisted the attacks from the Australian team.
