Lexus have made a Hoverboard

Off 12

According to the company, the board hovers using liquid nitrogen-fuelled superconductors and magnets. If you know what they are please enlighten us.

“It’s very confidential information but we have been studying the flying car in our most advanced R&D area…Flying car means the car is just a little bit away from the road, so it doesn’t have any friction or resistance from the road.” says Hiroyoshi Yoshiki, a managing officer in Toyota’s Technical Administration Group.

On a side note, I can’t help but wonder how much Back to the Future 2 has accelerated the development of hoverboards. I mean, if the film never happened, do you think anyone would be this close to making one?

Just a thought.
